Hopkinsville Police investigate after a dead body is found in a river

Hopkinsville Police are investigating after a dead body was found in a river near the Hopkinsville Greenway System Rail Trail on Saturday.

According to Hopkinsville Police Public Information Officer Colette Marfil, the body was found by a group of people walking on the trail near Bell Street. The Christian County Coroner pronounced the subject as deceased and reportedly says there was no foul play.

The subject did not have a wallet and has so far been identified as a Black male possibly in his 40s.
