A Tennessee man is facing numerous charges following a vehicle pursuit in Murray that ended in a crash and a scuffle with police.
According to the Murray Police Department, officers responded to reports of a reckless driver around 10 p.m. on July 4. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop—during the stop the driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old Brandon Partee of Humboldt, Tennessee, drove his vehicle backwards towards officers and then fled the scene.
The vehicle was quickly located where it had reportedly struck a house, which is when Partree fled on foot. As officers attempted to take him into custody, he reportedly struggled with them, knocking a firearm out of an officer’s hands.
He was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree fleeing or evading police, DUI, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident, disarming a police officer, resisting arrests and disregarding a traffic control device.
