Hopkinsville Police investigate reported assault

Officers from the Hopkinsville Police Department are investigating after they received a report regarding an alleged assault on Thursday.

According to a report, officers responded to a reported assault in the 1600 block of Old Concord Lane where the victim alleges that they were assaulted by an unknown suspect resulting in possible internal injuries. The report does not include a description of the suspect.

Police are investigating the incident as second-degree assault.
