Spring into Summer Festival sees large day one turnout

Carnival rides, vendors, stage shows and live music took over Oak Grove’s War Memorial Walking Trail Park for day one of the 17th annual Spring into Summer Salutes Fort Campbell Festival on Saturday. The 2024 graduating class of University Heights Academy received their diplomas and were recognized for their academic achievements at Friday’s commencement ceremony. New Hope Road reopens with completion of new bridge over Potts Creek

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has reopened a section of New Hope Road in southern Trigg County. According to a news release, KY 525 has been closed since early-March near mile point four to allow for construction of a new bridge over Potts Creek between Prather Road and Jack Humphries Road.  The roadway has now been reopened to traffic about two weeks ahead of schedule. Educator, businessman Mac Arthur passes away

Mac Arthur, a longtime businessman and educator in Christian County, has passed away at the age of 88.  Arthur passed of natural causes on Monday at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehab Center—born in 1936 to Phillip and Ethel Mae Arthur, he would go on to major in music at Western Kentucky University, and from there he earned his Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Kentucky.  He served as […]
