Rep. Myron Dossett
As clean up continues across western Kentucky, State Representative Myron Dossett says help should be on the way from the state.
Dossett, who calls Pembroke home, says his area did get a little roughed up from Sunday’s storms, but luckily nothing like what happened there in 2021. Now that Christian County has issued an emergency declaration, it should be accepted by the state, paving the way for further assistance to help with damages that were wide spread across the county.
Representative Dossett says he’s going to continue to push with the state legislature for the establishment of Long-Term Recovery Groups in every county, to help be prepared in the event of a disaster.
He also took the time to thank the linemen who have been working exhaustively to get the power back on, saying it’s often a thankless job, but society couldn’t function without their hard work and dedication.
