Woman hurt in Madisonville collision

A Dawson Springs woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Madisonville Sunday afternoon.

According to the Madisonville Police Department, it happened in the intersection of North Kentucky Avenue and East Arch Street around 5:45 p.m. when a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Libby Murphy of Dawson Springs was heading north through the intersection.

Murphy reportedly failed to stop at the light and proceeded through the intersection, where it collided with another vehicle driven by24-year-old Anthony Mason of Dawson Springs.

The collision caused Murphy’s vehicle to flip—a passenger in the vehicle, 36-year-old Brittany Robinson of Dawson Springs, was taken to Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital for treatment.
