Man killed in crash involving a semi-truck

A man was killed in a collision involving a semi on the Eagle Way Bypass Tuesday morning.

First responders were called to the area near the intersection of Davenport Lane and Highway 1682, according to Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers, for reports of a pedestrian struck by a semi-truck.

The adult male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating the incident and the road is shut down in that area, so motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
