Kentucky State Police have released additional information about the two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a state trooper Tuesday.
According to a news release, 48-year-old Trooper Jonathan Johnson of Bowling Green, while off-duty, was operating a motorcycle southbound on Nashville Road while a vehicle driven by 53-year-old Zeljka Meskovic of Bowling Green was heading north.
Meskovic reportedly attempted to make a left turn and pulled into the path of Johnson, was unable to avoid a collision. The two collided and John sustained fatal injuries.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Meskovic was not injured.
