A Hopkinsville man was killed and a Cadiz man was flown to a hospital from a semi crash in Caldwell County Monday afternoon.
According to Kentucky State Police, the wreck occurred on Kentucky 672 in Princeton around 5:40 p.m. Monday. Investigation determined that a tractor-trailer operated by 54-year-old Jose Palacios of Hopkinsville was heading south on KY 672 when it dropped off the right shoulder for an unknown reason. Palacios reportedly overcorrected, crossing both lanes of travel before overturning down a steep embankment.
Palacious was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A passenger in the truck, 41-year-old Jason Chyle of Cadiz, was flown to a hospital for treatment.
