Two people were injured in a collision on East Ninth Street in Hopkinsville Monday.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Tommy Morefield of Wingo, Kentucky was pulling out of a parking lot in the 1800 block of East Ninth Street when he pulled into the path of a vehicle operated by 40-year-old Sherita Watts of Hopkinsville.
Morefield told officers he had believed Watts was going to turn right into the parking lot, which is why he pulled forward.
Watts was taken to Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville for treatment of injuries, while Morefield was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
