Christian Co. woman snags $2 million in Powerball

A Christian County woman is feeling a bit of a rush this weekend, as she is the winner of $2 million through the Powerball lottery.

Officials with the Kentucky lottery confirmed that the woman—who is currently unknown—purchased her Powerball ticket online. They’ll release more information on the winner, or at least what she is comfortable with sharing, once she claims her winnings.

The Powerball has climbed to $1.4 billion, tempting even those who don’t normally play into buying a ticket, with the next drawing to be held Saturday night. If no one wins, that number will climb even higher.
