Hopkinsville Police have charged a Hopkinsville man with second-degree assaulted after he allegedly caused injuries to his disabled son.
According to the police report, officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of North Main Street Friday afternoon for reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with 52-year-old Jesse Dossett of Hopkinsville, who was allegedly laying on the front porch manifestly under the influence.
While speaking with Dossett and another person on scene, Dossett’s disabled son came out of the residence with blood on his face. The son reportedly had a large laceration to his head—there was reportedly broken glass all in the living room.
Dossett was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and public intoxication.
