Local law enforcement is investigating a shooting incident in the Peach Street area from early Sunday morning where one person was injured.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Lt. Payton Rogers says Hopkinsville EMS transported a 37-year-old male victim who had a single gunshot wound to his left leg to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. He was set to be transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for treatment.
The incident took place in the area of Ashwood Village near Peach Street and Greenville Road around 2 a.m. and the investigation continues.
