HPD investigating theft of a handgun

The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating the theft of a handgun from East 12th Street Thursday.

According to the police report, a 9 mm handgun was unlawfully taken from the victim sometime Thursday afternoon. No suspect information was available and the incident is being investigated as theft of a firearm.
