The Christian County High School Colonel Band has been chosen to march in the Zoeller Pump Company Derby Parade Festival Pegasus Parade.
According to a news release, the Pegasus Parade will take place on Sunday, April, 30, 2023 at 3 PM EST in Louisville, Kentucky.
CCHS Band Director Anthony Darnall says, “We are excited to be a part of this prestigious event. We look forward to representing CCPS at the Kentucky Derby’s Pegasus Parade. The Zoeller Pump Company Derby Parade Festival Pegasus Parade is held each year in conjunction with the Kentucky Derby Festival. This year’s parade theme is “Celebrating Derby Traditions”.
The parade is a longstanding tradition of the Kentucky Derby Festival dating back to 1956 and is the longest running derby festival event.
