Pedestrian severely injured in Clarksville accident

A pedestrian was flown to a Nashville hospital after being struck by a vehicle Monday night on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Clarksville. It happened just after 5:30 p.m. near the Fort Campbell Boulevard Wendy’s on the northbound side, according to Clarksville police, who say the pedestrian was taken by helicopter to a hospital where their condition was unknown. Names of those involved have not been released.

Man arrested for allegedly assaulting woman with broomstick

Hopkinsville police have arrested a man accused of stabbing a woman in the eye with a broom handle earlier this month on Peppermint Drive. A warrant for first-degree assault (domestic violence) and terroristic threatening was served Monday afternoon against 46-year old Chad Love of Hopkinsville, alleging he stabbed the victim in the eye, causing a severe injury that required treatment at Jennie Stuart Health. The Christian County Public School System is celebrating five high school students for being named to the All-State Choir. A new trial date was scheduled Monday morning in Christian Circuit Court for the alleged gunman in the 2020 disappearance of Justin Tyler Sawyer in Oak Grove.
