Burglary reported on Bryan Street

Hopkinsville police are investigating a burglary reported Monday on Bryan Street. The victim told officers that force was used to get inside a residence in the 300 block of Bryan sometime between September 22 and Monday morning, with the perpetrator getting away with video game console. No suspects are named on the report.

Driver fatigue may have been a factor in a single-vehicle accident Monday morning on Lewisburg Road in Logan County that sent the driver to the hospital. The League of Women Voters debate forums began Monday afternoon with candidates running for Hopkinsville City Council, as they discussed plans, policy and more. Starting the forum were Republican Ward One incumbent Natasha Francis and democratic challenger Vance Smith, who fielded multiple questions from the League concerning challenges facing Hopkinsville. COVID trends continue to decline in Ky.

The data continues to show a decline in COVID-19 in Kentucky, as the positivity rate fell even further in the last week. Local marching bands bring home big titles from weekend competitions

The local high school marching band took home some big titles in a weekend full of competition. First frost of season possible this weekend

Western Kentucky could see its first frost of the fall season this weekend and there’s no apparent hope for rain in the forecast in the next few days. Trial delayed again for Hazel Street murder suspect

Trial has been delayed again for Leon Grimes, the man accused in the July 2021 shooting death of Calvin Buckner on Hazel Street. It had been set to begin Monday morning, but court officials say attorneys are working with the court to schedule a new date after it had to be continued. Grimes remains in the Christian County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
