A Clarksville woman has been indicted for first-degree murder in connection with the death of a 13-year-old in July.
According to a news release from the Clarksville Police Department, the charge stems from evidence that was presented to the Montgomery County Grand Jury that resulted in the indictment against Cheyenne Maddox.
Officers had responded to a residence on Virginia Terrace in July were 13-year-old Kadaris Maddox was pronounced deceased—the medical examiner had ruled the death to be a homicide.
Cheyenne Maddox turned herself in Sunday to the Montgomery County Jail, with her bond set a $1 million.
