NFL Training Camp News 8/1/2022

>>Titans Training Camp Notes From Day 4

(Nashville, TN)  —  Week two of Titans training camp begins today at Saint Thomas Sports Park.  Cornerback Elijah Molden wasn’t seen over the weekend after suffering a leg injury during Friday’s practice.  Center Ben Jones was also missing from practice on Saturday, but the team didn’t say if it was injury related.  Beat reporters say the defense showed much better than the offense in 7-on-7 and one-on-one drills.  Today will be the first padded practice of training camp.

(Undated)  —  The NFL continues to get in the swing of preparing for the upcoming season with training camps underway.  The league will see its first preseason action this Thursday with the annual Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio.  This year’s game features the Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders.

(Santa Clara, CA)  —  The 49ers are extending their top wideout.  San Francisco has agreed to a three-year, 73.5-million-dollar extension with wide receiver Deebo Samuel.  The deal includes 58.1-million-dollars in guarantees.  Samuel had been seeking a lucrative deal to remain in San Francisco, and previously requested a trade from the Niners in April.  The 26-year-old has played in 38 regular season games since he was selected with the 36th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by the 49ers out of South Carolina.

>>Report: Ruling Expected For Deshaun Watson’s Disciplinary Case

(Undated)  —  The NFL could be making its decision on whether or not Deshaun Watson violated the league’s personal conduct policy.  ESPN reports that NFL disciplinary officer Sue L. Robinson is expected to issue a ruling today in regards to Watson’s case, which could lead to a potential suspension.  Robinson heard arguments from the league, players union and Watson’s attorney during a three-day hearing.  The NFL is pushing for a year-long suspension for the former Texans and current Browns quarterback.  Watson has already settled 20 of the 24 lawsuits he was facing after being accused of sexual assault and inappropriate conduct.
