>>Cardinals Blank Nationals

(Washington, DC)  —  Andre Pallante pitched eight scoreless innings and struck out eight as the Cardinals blanked the Nationals 5-0 in D.C.  Pallante held the Nationals to just five hits in the victory.  Corey Dickerson and Paul DeJong homered for St. Louis.

>>Cardinals Acquire RP Romero

(Washington, DC)  —  The St. Louis Cardinals are getting some depth to their bullpen.  The team acquired minor league reliever JoJo Romero in a trade with the Phillies on Saturday.  Infielder Edmundo Sosa was sent to Philadelphia to complete the deal. The MLB trade deadline is tomorrow.

>>Reds Stage Late Comeback In 3-2 Win Over Baltimore

(Cincinnati, OH)  —  The Reds stage a late comeback in their 3-2 win over Baltimore.  The score was tied 2-2 heading into the bottom of the eighth until Brandon Drury smashed his 20th homer of the season to give Cincy the lead.  Buck Farmer came in for the final inning and shut the door on the Orioles to seal the win.

>>Braves Edge Diamondbacks

(Cumberland, GA)  —  Austin Riley drove in the only run of the game in the bottom of the ninth as the Braves edged the Diamondbacks 1-0 at home.  Max Fried pitched seven scoreless innings.  Kenley Jansen earned the win for Atlanta.

>>Cubs Get Blanked By Giants

(San Francisco, CA)  —  The Chicago Cubs managed just four hits in a 4-0 loss to the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park.  None of the four hits went for extra bases as the Cubs brought just one runner into scoring position.  Adrian Sampson was charged with his second loss after allowing four runs in four innings.
