The latest drought monitor shows most of western Kentucky remaining in drought status.
Almost all of Christian, Todd and Trigg counties in moderate drought status, while a small sliver of far western Kentucky is now in a severe drought.
Todd County’s outdoor burn ban remains in effect, with Emergency Management Director Daniel Smith saying recent rainfall hasn’t been enough to alleviate concerns and the forecast continues to call for hot and dry conditions the next several days.
