The Clarksville Police Department is inviting the public to a combined “First Responders Back to School Bash” on July 30.
It will be at the Park Lane Church of Nazarene at 225 Cunningham Lane from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. and everyone is welcome, according to a news release.
Organizers say it will be an opportunity for children to interact with first responders and see some of the equipment they use. Car seat checks will take place between 10 a.m. 2 p.m. to ensure your child’s seat is properly installed.
There will also be music, free school supplies, a free raffle for backpacks filled with supplies, free hot dogs and snacks and free haircuts.
Anyone wanting to donate school supplies or backpacks to the event can drop them off at the Clarksville Police Department headquarters, the District 1 precinct on Cunningham Lane or at any EMS station.
