Woman, two children injured in Caldwell Co. crash

A two-vehicle accident on Marion Road in Caldwell County Saturday evening sent one of the drivers to a Nashville hospital.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office investigated and determined 18-year old Dalton Hicks of Princeton had been southbound and lost traction in a curve, causing his car to go sideways in the road and collide with a northbound car driven by 29-year old Nikki Barnes of Paducah.

Barnes had to be extricated from her car and was flown to a hospital in Nashville with non-life-threatening injuries. Her 9 and 5-year old passengers were taken by ambulance to Caldwell County Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Hicks was treated on scene for minor injuries and refused a trip to the hospital.
