Murray State’s women’s program got good news yesterday as both Macey Turley and Alexis Burpo announced they are returning next season. Both are taking advantage of the extra year to play due to COVID.

The Women’s Final Four begins this evening in Minneapolis as Louisville meets South Carolina in the first National Semifinal at 6 pm followed by Stanford and UConn. The winners will meet for the National Championship Sunday night. The NCAA Final Four takes place starting tomorrow night in New Orleans. Murray State and Austin Peay both begin three game Ohio Valley Conference weekend series today. The Racers open a three game set with Belmont at Johnny Reagan Field while the Governors welcome Southeast Missouri to Raymond C. Hand Park. Western Kentucky begins a three game Conference USA series this evening at Middle Tennessee.

The Cincinnati Reds fell to the Chicago White Sox 8-2. The next Reds on Radio broadcasts are this weekend as the Reds meet San Diego tomorrow night with air time at 7:50 and Sunday afternoon against the Arizona Diamondbacks at 2:55. Both games will air on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP. The Reds are also in action today as they face the Los Angeles Angels.

Princeton’s Emma Talley had a three over par 75 in Thursday’s opening round of the LPGA Tour’s Chevron Classic in Rancho Mirage, CA. Jennifer Kupcho and Minjee Lee are the co-leaders at six under par. Russell Knox is leading the way at the PGA Tour’s Valero Texas Open in San Antonio.
