CCPS announces resignation of HHS principal

Hopkinsville High School will soon begin the search for a new principal, as Dr. John Gunn has announced his resignation.

According to a news release from the Christian County Public School System, Dr. Gunn announced his resignation at the end of last week, and it will be effective at the end of the 2021-2022 school year.

Superintendent Chris Bentzel says, “The district greatly appreciates the work Dr. Gunn has put forth in leading Hopkinsville High over these last 4 years. We wish him all the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

The school’s site based decision making council will meet April 12 at 5 p.m. in the HHS media center to begin the selection process for a new principal.
