CCHD report two COVID deaths, five new cases

The Christian County Health Department is reporting two additional COVID-19 deaths, along with only five new cases locally in the last week.

According to a news release, the two victims are an 85-year-old female and an 82-year-old female, both of whom were vaccinated. The five new cases bring the active case count locally to seven—overall, there have been 17,154 cases of COVID-19 locally since the pandemic began.

There have been 190 COVID deaths in Christian County, and 16,957 people have recovered from the virus.
