Tom Brady retires officially/Rams TE Higbee may be out for Super Bowl

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has made it official that he’s retiring from football. Brady posted on his Instagram today he’s “not going to make that competitive commitment anymore.” He’s a seven-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Los Angeles Rams may be without number one tight end Tyler Higbee for the Super Bowl. Team doctors on Monday diagnosed Higbee with an MCL sprain, but say there’s no structural damage in his knee. Higbee left with a sore knee during the first half of Sunday’s NFC Championship Game and never returned to the field. If the former WKU standout can’t go, backup tight end Kendall Blanton will likely take his place as he did this past Sunday.
