Cody Bellinger delivered a go-ahead RBI single in the top of the ninth to keep the Dodgers season alive. The Dodgers face the Atlanta Braves in game one of the NLCS tomorrow night.

The Houston Astros welcome the Boston Red Sox in game one of the American League Championship Series this evening.

The St. Louis Cardinals let manager Mike Shildt go yesterday. The Cardinals lost in the National League Wild Card Game to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Shildt had taken the Cardinals to the playoffs in three out of four seasons as manager. The team cited “philosophical differences” in the decision to part ways with Shildt.

Despite exiting in the ALDS, the Chicago White Sox are bringing back manager Tony La Russa for next season according to ESPN. The 77-year-old La Russa managed his first MLB team since 2011 this year. The White Sox finished 93-and-69 this season.
