CCHD reports 301 COVID-19 cases

The Christian County Health Department reported 301 cases of COVID-19 in the last week locally.

According to a news release, of those 301 new cases, 36 of them were ‘break through’ cases, meaning those individuals had been vaccinated against the virus.  That puts the total of coronavirus locally since the pandemic began at 9,973—of that, 535 cases are considered active and 9,319 people have recovered from the virus.

Christian County has had 119 COVID-19 deaths.
