Hearings held for Valero murder suspects

Hearings were held Wednesday morning for the two suspects charged in connection with the April 10 shooting death of Delmour Moncrief at the Valero gas station on East Ninth Street in Hopkinsville appeared Wednesday morning in Christian Circuit Court.

Attorney Stuart Wheeler waived arraignment for 26-year old David Rashawn King of Guthrie, who’s charged with complicity to murder, tampering with evidence, possession of a handgun by a felon and hindering the apprehension of a fugitive.

Meanwhile, public defender Eric Bearden represents 21-year old Dalton Hall of Springfield, Tennessee, who appeared virtually from the jail for a pre-trial conference. Bearden and Wheeler agreed to continue the case until another pre-trial hearing on September 1.

Moncrief was shot multiple times following some type of altercation at the Valero and King and Hall then fled the scene.
