Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble told Fiscal Court Tuesday morning that he’s going to appoint someone to replace the retiring Jailer Brad Boyd sometime in the next two weeks.
Judge Tribble says he’s heard from five people who are interested in being appointed to fill the remainder of Boyd’s term through the end of next year.
The judge also announced that after a year-long halt due to the pandemic, he is beginning to make appointments to conduct weddings again in his Chapel of Love.
Treasurer Walter Cummings gave the end of the fiscal year financial report, saying all departments finished within their budgets and the health insurance fund came up with a surplus.
Kris Tapp was appointed by Judge Tribble to the Recreation, Tourism and Conventions Board and Melanie Noffsinger was reappointed to the Museum Board.
