Elkton fun, fireworks coming up Saturday

Elkton’s popular Independence Day celebration and fireworks are coming up Saturday night with some changes.

Elkton Mayor Arthur Green says there will be food, fun and music on the Public Square beginning at 4 and then the fireworks will be shot after dark.

While the fireworks location will be different from years past, you should be able to see them from most locations west and north of the square.

The L&R Soda Fountain will be offering up scoops of ice cream on the Square in the hours prior to the fireworks.
