HPD charges Arkansas man with robbery, wanton endangerment

Hopkinsville police arrested an Arkansas man Saturday night after he allegedly caused his wife to wreck and injured her while taking her property.

An arrest citation for 57-year old Christopher Harris of Mountain View, Arkansas says he attempted to force the victim off the road and caused her to crash. He later allegedly broke her window and took her keys, phone and purse.

The victim sustained injuries to her leg and face and employees of a West Seventh Street gas station where their vehicles stopped were able to prevent Harris from causing further injuries, according to the report.

Harris was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree robbery and leaving the scene of an accident.
