Todd Rescue Squad to host BBQ fundraiser Saturday for family of founding member

The Todd County Rescue Squad is hosting a barbecue Saturday to raise money for the family of Garth Camp, a squad founder who served the community in many ways during his life.

Camp died January 12 at the age of 67 from injuries sustained in a workplace accident. He is survived by his wife and son and money raised at the rescue squad’s barbecue from 10 a.m. until they’re sold out Saturday will go to them.

Camp was a founding member of Todd County Rescue Squad, safety officer for the Trenton Volunteer Fire Department and was employed by Todd County Ambulance Service.

Plate lunches will be available for $9 or you can buy a half or whole pork butt for $25 or $40.

There will also be barbecue chicken and pulled pork.

All meals will be “to go” as there will be no dining in due to COVID precautions.

The Todd County Rescue Squad is located at 185 Moe Lane on the northwest side of Elkton.
