Fort Campbell hosted a virtual pandemic update Tuesday and the post is spiking with coronavirus cases like its neighbors in Kentucky and Tennessee.
101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell commander, Maj. Gen. Brian Winksi says there are no active duty soldiers in a hospital with COVID-19, but they are at a “high water mark” for cases.
He says most recent cases have been attributed to holiday travel and he urges the men and women of Fort Campbell to be safe as they see family at Christmas.
Maj. Gen. Winksi says hospital capacity at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital is in good shape.
