The Christian County High School Percussion Ensemble and Concert Choir have been selected to perform at the Kentucky Music Educators Association Professional Development Conference in February. The 70th Annual WHOP Rotary Radio Auction will be September 14 through 19 and the club could still use some more auction items. The auction will run Monday through Thursday from 7 until 9, Friday from 6 until 10 and Saturday from 6 until all items are sold. Walk to End Alzheimer’s going ahead very differently in pandemic

The Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s is later this month, but it will look much different than the festivities folks are used to each year at the Christian County Justice Center. Murray man injured after tractor-trailer overturns

A Murray man was injured after his tractor-trailer overturned Wednesday afternoon in Calloway County. The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office investigated and determined 39-year old Eric David of Murray had been hauling lumber on Browns Grove Road when he moved over to avoid oncoming traffic in a curve and the right side tires of his tractor-trailer went off the right side of the roadway. Two people were arrested following an early morning burglary Thursday on Wallace Avenue. Hopkinsville police were notified of a burglary in progress on Wallace and were given a description of a dark-colored sedan that left the scene. One person was killed and one was injured in an accident Wednesday morning in Calloway County. Kentucky State Police say 82-year old Bobbie Bibb of Murray was southbound on KY 783 and failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic at KY 80. Trigg County reported three new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Wednesday. The 75-year old female, 61-year old female and 41-year old male are all isolating at home, according to the Pennyrile District Health Department. There have been 93 total confirmed cases in Trigg County.

Bond reduction denied for McHenry Street murder suspect

A request for bond reduction was denied Wednesday afternoon in Christian Circuit Court for the man accused in the August, 2019 shooting death of Terrill Moore.
