Bryson DeChambeau clinched his first major title with a strong final round at the U.S. Open at Winged Foot, as he carded a three-under 67 to pull away for dominant six-stroke victory over overnight leader Matthew Wolff. DeChambeau, whose win was his seventh on the PGA Tour, was two shots behind Wolff when the day began but passed him in five holes.
Wolff struggled to a five-over 75 in the final round, but it was enough to finish outright second at even par. Louisville area native Justin Thomas finished tied for eighth at six over par.
