The Todd County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two vehicle collision with injuries that occurred on US 68-80 Tuesday afternoon.
It happened four miles west of Elkton, according to Sheriff Tracy White. Investigation by Sheriff White reportedly determined 20-year old John Wiles of Sharon Grove was operating a vehicle westbound on US 68-80. Wiles attempted to change lanes and did not see a second vehicle. He reportedly sideswiped the vehicle, causing it to travel into the median and into the east bound lanes.
The driver of the second automobile, 38-year old Sheena Hernandez of Franklin was not injured, while her three children were transported by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for minor injuries. A passenger of Hernandez, 47-year old Erik Dawson of Franklin was transported by private vehicle to JSMC for minor injuries to his hand.
