The Pennyrile Development District is one of six Development Districts in the state that is receiving funding from the CARES Act.
According to a news release, PADD will receive a $759,000 CARES Act Recovery Assistance grant to capitalize and administer actions that will help coronavirus impacted businesses in Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Trigg counties meet their short-term working capital needs.
Congressman James Comer says, “The COVID-19 crisis made it essential for our small businesses, who are the backbone of our economy, to receive much-needed relief to offset the costs of the government-induced shutdown. This funding will provide a lifeline to our job creators as we continue to restart the economy and get our citizens back to work.”
