The Courier Journal reports former University of Louisville football coach Howard Schnellenberger will receive the 2021 Paul “Bear” Bryant Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the American Heart Association. Schnellenberger will receive the award next January in Houston. It honors coaches for work on and off the field. Schnellenberger was an assistant to Bryant at Alabama in the 1960’s.
