Local man hurt in North Greenville Road accident

A single-vehicle accident Monday afternoon on North Greenville Road injured the driver.

A report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department says 52-year old Steven Vilardo of Hopkinsville was southbound just past Crofton Firetower Road when he pulled into a driveway after missing his turn.

When he backed up to turn around, his rear tires dropped off the shoulder of the road and caused the truck to overturn in a ditch.

Vilardo was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of side and shoulder pain.
