The Fort Worth Star Telegram reported over the weekend former Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie as saying he would enjoy another challenge at the Division One level. Gillispie-currently the head coach at Ranger College-is being rumored as a candidate to become the new coach at Tarleton State, which is moving to D-1.
Tarleton State is moving to the Western Athletic Conference and will begin play in D-1 July 1st, but won’t be eligible for post-season tournaments until the 2024-25 season.
