The man sought on DUI and manslaughter charges following a crash that killed two people earlier this month in Marshall County has been arrested.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department says Kevin West of Benton has been arrested on charges of second-degree manslaughter, second-degree assault, DUI, trafficking in a controlled substance and other crimes.
The crash happened March 8 on US 68 at the Moors Camp Highway intersection.
Investigation determined one of the drivers, Kevin West of Benton, was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. One of his passengers, 59-year old Randall Massey of Clavert City, died the same day from his injuries.
A passenger in the other vehicle involved, 82-year old Youlane Cathey of Benton, died two days later at a hospital.
West was treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and had been sought since leaving the hospital.
