NCAA cancels basketball and spring sports championships

The NCAA announced the afternoon not only the cancellation of the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, but all other winter and spring championships which include baseball’s College World Series and softball’s Women’s College World Series. This comes one day after the NCAA had said it would play the basketball tournaments beginning next week with no fans in attendance due to growing concerns over the Coronavirus.
