Houston Astros ace Justin Verlander is unlikely to pitch on Opening Day after being diagnosed with a mild back strain. He left Sunday’s start against the New York Mets early with discomfort. Verlander says it would likely take a miracle to be ready for their first game on March 26th. The 37-year-old is the reigning AL Cy Young winner.
