Record number of Kentuckians registered to vote in primary

There is a record number of Kentuckians registered to vote in the May primary election.

Secretary of State Michael Adams released the figures, showing 3,462,152 registered voters in the commonwealth.

Just over 48-percent of those are registered Democrats, 43-percent are registered as Republicans and about 9-percent are independent or other.

The deadline to register to vote in the May 19 primary is April 20.
