Kansas City and San Francisco play Super Bowl 54 Sunday at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, with the game considered by many of the experts to be a tossup. However NBC Radio’s Bill Zimpfer has some things to watch for:

MLB

Three-time All-Star outfielder Curtis Granderson announced his retirement today after 16 seasons in the major leagues. Granderson played for seven teams. He was an All-Star for the Detroit Tigers in 2009, and for the New York Yankees in 2011 and
2012. Granderson, who has a children’s foundation and has long been active in community work, said he’ll continue to bring baseball to in-need youngsters.

NBA

There’s new information about the helicopter that crashed last Sunday killing Kobe Bryant and eight others including his daughter. Phil Hulett reports:

PGA Tour Champions

Stephen Ames shot a 3-under 69 today to take a three-stroke lead into the final round of the PGA Tour Champions’ Morocco Champions. Ames has a 12-under 132 total and has the lead over Hall of Famers Bernhard Langer and Jose Maria Olazabal along with Brett Quigley.
