Local woman injured in Main Street crash

A local woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash at North Main Street and Talbert Drive Monday morning.

It happened about 7:25 a.m. and the report from Hopkinsville police says 18-year old Cheyenne Lancaster of Hopkinsville attempted to turn left from the southbound lanes into the Circle K gas station.

She drove into the path of a northbound SUV operated by 43-year old Tania Everett of Hopkinsville, who could not avoid a collision.

Everett was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for minor injuries to her head and knee.

Lancaster complained of pain from the seat belt, but declined a trip to the hospital.
