Three displaced by house fire

Three people were displaced by a fire that began in the kitchen of a Roney Drive home New Year’s Day.

Firefighters were called to 309 Roney about 2:53 p.m. and found heavy smoke coming from the kitchen, according to Hopkinsville Fire Department Captain Michael Pendleton.

Crews were able to contain the blaze to the kitchen, but the Red Cross was called to assist two adults and one child who were displaced due to heavy smoke damage.
