HPD: Woman struck by vehicle in parking lot

A Hopkinsville woman was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center Tuesday after she was struck by a vehicle in a parking lot on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, a vehicle driven by 55-year old Kathleen Turner of Hopkinsville was parked in the parking lot of US Bank when she began backing out of her parking space.  She told officers she was unaware that Mi S. Bouc of Hopkinsville was walking behind her until she felt the collision.

Bouc told officers she had been walking in the parking lot when she turned back to her vehicle to lock it, and that’s when she was struck, causing her to fall to the ground.  She complained of pain to her arm, shoulder and head and was transported to Jennie Stuart for treatment.
